Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 - What to Expect! (2025)

The original star of Dexter, James Remar, is thrilled to be returning for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection. Remar, who plays Harry Morgan, a role he has portrayed since the original series' debut in 2006, is excited to further develop his character and explore more scenes with Michael C. Hall's Dexter Morgan. Remar's scenes are all with Hall, and he is emotional about the collaboration, having worked together for nearly 20 years. Remar's reflection on "further development" in season 2 likely refers to the internal growth Dexter saw throughout season 1, guided by visions of his deceased father, Harry. Harry and Dexter's moments together were a highlight of season 1, and Remar is eager to expand on their scenes in season 2. While Remar was absent from Showtime's 2021-2022 limited revival Dexter: New Blood, he is back for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection, which will continue to explore Dexter's relationship with his son, Harrison, and the impact of Harry's presence on his life. Production has yet to officially begin, but the writers' room is assembling, and the ball is rolling to build on the "evolution" of Dexter, Harrison, and Harry's roles in season 2's coming episodes. The release date for season 2 is set for July 13, 2025, on Paramount+ with Showtime.
